Abstract: The paper discusses the specific differences between the five species of the mollusc Thracia found in the British Isles. The distribution of Thracia phaseolina var. gracilis, T. phaseolina, T. convexa and T. distorta on the Irish coast is mapped though specific locations are not included. Species taken sublittorally off the Northumberland coast in northeast England are identified, with T. phaseolina var. gracilis a distinct variety.
