Abstract: This paper records 81 species of amphipod crustaceans found during a survey carried out in the Dalkey, Co. Dublin area. The object of the survey was to obtain faunal records for the district, and information relating to the ecology and breeding period of the amphipods present. A brief description of 14 collecting stations is given. Collecting methods for both littoral and sublittoral zones are described. One hundred and four collections were made, which were divided into 48 sublittoral, 52 littoral and 4 planktonic. The species found are listed systematically, with notes on ecology and, where possible, the breeding period. The geographical distribution of the species is also studied.
