Abstract: This is the first report on the State of the Environment in Ireland published by the [Environmental Protection] Agency since its establishment in July 1993. This report consists of a single volume, in four parts, as follows: Part I General Introduction and Background Part II Pressures on the Environment Part III Environmental Quality and Pollution Part IV Management, Control and Economic Aspects. A separate summary of this report has also been published.
