Abstract: This paper presents the results of geomorphological studies of beach formations in counties Galway and Kerry in 1958. Formation processes and physical attributes of the beaches are considered. Roundness of quartz sand grains is examined in connection with transportation and zonation. Biotic communities are noted for the Kerry beaches.
