Abstract: Fishery leaflet which describes methods of examination of the biology and ecology of the Dublin Bay prawn, which are designed to yield information on habits, movements and especially growth and death rates, these being the two most important factors in the prosperity of the fishery. Methods of growth assessment based on analysis of trawl samples and on moulting records of captive post-larvae are also discussed.
