Abstract: This paper re-examines samples of commercially caught squid (Loligo forbesi) obtained from Scottish ports and three southern Irish ports (Dingle, Co. Kerry, Dunmore East, Co. Waterford, and Kilmore Quay, Co. Wexford) used previously by the authors 'alongside new data and new information on prey size to investigate the relationship between prey size and predator size for the more important fish and cephalopod species in the diet of L. forbesi'.
