Abstract: This (second) report (with respect to sewage sludge) continues with the theme of guidance and includes details of procedures for biological effects studies that can be used to provide evidence of deterioration in environmental quality as a consequence of sewage-sludge disposal. With respect to Ireland there is the Dept. of the Environment, Northern Ireland survey of the North Channel, Belfast Lough, sewage-sludge disposal site.
