Abstract: Hydroids were obtained from dredged material during the Royal Irish Academy dredging surveys of 1885, 1886, and 1888 on the west coast of Ireland. Forty-six species were collected, with fourteen new to Ireland. A list of the species collected is presented with a note of the new Irish records. Notes are made on the common or rare species, the distribution of the species, and there is some descriptive detail.
