Abstract: A number of fish species were captured during the expeditions of 1886 and 1888 on the Lord Bandon and Flying Falcon. The latter expedition trawled to greater depths and obtained more interesting results with a number of deep sea species. They collected one littoral Gobius species which was new to science, and a species of Haloporphyrus new to Irish deep sea fauna. A list of species collected and the depth of collection is presented.
