Abstract: In this survey and review of the Irish Enchytraeidae, collections were made at 210 sites in 14 counties, representing a wide range of terrestrial and marine habitats. Marine sites were sea cliffs, salt-marsh, brackish water, seaweed debris and inter-tidal sites, in counties Galway, Wexford, Wicklow, Dublin and Clare. Morphology, ecology, distribution and taxonomy of the species are discussed.
