Abstract: Report presents the 1989 results of a programme set up to verify the satisfactory control of liquid radioactive waste discharges to the aquatic environment, and to ensure that the resulting public radiation exposure is within nationally accepted limits. With specific reference to Ireland, this report also carries results from monitoring by the Dept. of the Environment, Northern Ireland.
