Abstract: The results of a survey of Clare Island, including the coastline, in search of false scorpions are presented. Pseudoscorpions were generally scarce. However, one marine species, Obsium maritimum, was common on the shore below high water. A list of the three species collected, their habitat, and occurrence in the British Isles and Europe is presented. The maritime species Chthonius tetrachelatus was also found.
