Abstract: This report is a proceedings of the third annual conference of the European Association of Fisheries Economists. Three themes are discussed: (1) the single European market, (2) capacity and (3) coastal management. The majority of the contributions are in the second theme, capacity, reflecting the widespread preoccupation with overfishing and the problems inherent in trying to rectify it.
