Abstract: This paper examines a population of Tellina tenuis from south Dublin Bay from May 1994 to May 1995. Population structure and environmental parameters (temperature, salinity, organic matter, photosynthetic pigments) were monitored throughout the year. Somatic production, consumption, assimilation, faeces, reproduction and respiration were all studied to produce an overall energy budget for the year.
