Abstract: The distribution of Biddluphia sinensis, Isias clavipes and Sagitta setosa in September 1954 in the Irish Sea and North Channel was monitored by sampling. Results suggest that the flow through was intermittent at that period. Some effects of intermittent flow on the transport of Irish Sea water are discussed.
