Abstract: This is a report on a project which was undertaken to investigate the role that particulate nutrients, especially nitrogen, play in marcroalgal development in Dublin Bay. The aims were to quantify the inputs of particulate nutrients to the Bay, to investigate their effect on the growth of macroalgae and to model their transport and deposition throughout the Bay.
