Abstract: Paper reports on 2 surveys of juvenile flounders Platichthys flesus carried out in June 1978 and 1979 in Kinish Harbour, Sherkin Island, Co. Cork to look at population ecology. Of the 1200 fish collected, detailed meristic and biometric data were collected on 327, and 120 had their stomach contents analysed to identify preferred food species.
