Abstract: This paper reports on a study of a population of goldsinny wrasse, Ctenolabris rupestris, in Lettercallow Bay, Co. Galway. Coloration and morphology were examined with respect to allometric growth and sexual dimorphism. Many bodily dimensions showed positive correlations with length. The results are discussed relative to behaviour, predator-prey relationships and population structure. Colour changes associated with stress are also investigated.
