Abstract: This paper places on record the occurrence of the wrasse Crenilabrus bailloni off the coast of Galway, in the west of Ireland, and also notes records from the Channel Islands. Methods for distinguishing C. bailloni and the similar common corkwing wrasse, C. melops, are given.
