Abstract: Nematodes and Kinorhyncha were collected incidentally in searches for other groups of fauna. Dredged material from a previously uninvestigated habitat type collected large numbers of the archiannelid Polygordius lacteus. The area of sea bottom was subsequently called the 'Polygordius ground'. A list of nematode species is presented with general reference to their habitat. Eighty-five species of Chaetognatha were collected, including species new to science, the British Isles, and to Ireland. A systematic list of the species describes their habitat and wider global distribution. Reference is made to historical accounts of some species previously collected, and there is descriptive detail of new species or varieties with illustrative plates for identification. Five marine species of Kinorhyncha were collected; no marine species from this group had hitherto been recorded from the British Isles. A list of the five species, with habitat details and records from other countries, is presented.
