Abstract: Paper reports on results of 1994 monitoring on the water quality of shellfish waters around Ireland. 'At each site temperature, salinity, pH and dissolved oxygen measurements were made and the area inspected for the presence of petroleum hydrocarbons. Water samples were collected for suspended solids determinations. A representative sample from each area was collected and returned to the laboratory for metal and chlorinated hydrocarbon analyses.'
