Abstract: The object of the survey was to find out more about the whales and dolphins in the sea off the Mullet peninsula in Erris, north west Mayo. Survey work was limited to 4 weeks due to lack of funding. Whale and dolphin strandings and sightings with a focus on county Mayo and feasibility of whale and dolphin watching are reviewed. Further work is recommended.
