Abstract: A review which incorporates information from the MNCR catalogues of coastal SSSIs (Davies et al. 1990), legislation, and other published sources for the UK, Isle of Man, Channel Islands and Ireland. The dates of information vary according to the source material used, and therefore it cannot be interepreted as a comprehensive and up-to-date catalogue of MPAs at the time of compilation.
