Abstract: The results of a survey from Blacksod Bay to Slyne Head and seaward to the 50 fathom line are presented, including previous records from Ballynakill Harbour and Bofin Harbour. The survey found a new record to Ireland, the isopod Tanais cavolinii, and a first record in the British Isles of the isopod Pseudione sp. (found on the crab Porcellana longicornis). One species, Paratanais batei, was new to the district. The distribution of some species as far as Norway and the Mediterranean, and within both areas was noted.
