Abstract: Paper discusses two broad spectrum recharacterizing surveys of Killary Harbour, Co. Galway and the Bandon Estuary/Kinsale Harbour, Co. Cork. Benthic faunal communities were used to asses the health of these areas, in addition to physical and chemical analyses of the marine sediments.
