Abstract: This is the twenty-seventh paper in the 'Littoral and benthic investigations on the west coast of Ireland' series. An extensive in situ survey of Kilkieran Bay (west coast of Ireland) established the presence and distribution of seven discrete epibenthic animal associations; identified on the basis of qualitative examination. The ecological background to the associations is discussed and a catalogue of component species is included.
