Abstract: This is the fifteenth paper in the 'Littoral and benthic investigations on the west coast of Ireland' series and looks at the macrobenthic communities of North Bay (Galway Bay). Eighty-four stations were sampled for their infauna with a 0.1 metre squared van Veen grab. Individual specimens were identified as far as possible to species level. Sediment particle distribution, organic carbon, and heavy metal content were investigated.
