Abstract: This is the fourteenth paper in the 'Littoral and benthic investigations on the west coast of Ireland' series. It discusses various aspects of the biology of the Painted Goby Pomatoschistus pictus from monthly samples taken from November 1976 to October 1977 at two shores near Carna, Co. Galway. Age and growth are examined, as are reproduction and food items.
