Abstract: This short paper describes some features of herring larval surveys carried out in the Celtic Sea around counties Waterford and Wexford. Abundance of Celtic Sea autumn spawners and winter spawners are given for 1978 to 1984. The area seasonally closed on herring spawning grounds is also given.
