Abstract: Paper presents results of a reconnaissance study of the recent sedimentation in Dublin Bay and its approaches out to beyond the Kish Bank, north to Irelands Eye and south to around Dalkey Island. 105 stations were divided by members of the Geological Survey of Ireland and mainly sedimentological and geotechnical observations made. A map of sediment distribution is presented along with an evaluation of the methods used for gathering the information.
