Abstract: Paper discusses the distribution of larvae of sprat (Sprattus sprattus) in relation to hydrographic conditions and food availability in the Irish Sea. Sampling was carried out in 1982, 1987, 1988 and 1989 along a transect across the Irish Sea from Liverpool Bay/north of Anglesey, North Wales to Dundalk Bay in Co. Louth, Ireland.
