Abstract: Data from repeated trawls and creel catches at 80 m depth in the Irish Sea southwest of the Isle of Man are compared with behaviour of Nephrops norvegicus (L.) in a laboratory environment in which the effects of light, substrate, hydrostatic pressure and food availability were studied.
