Abstract: Echinoderms were collected from Clew Bay, Westport Bay, Blacksod Bay, and from the shores of Clare Island and surrounding area. Specimens were collected by dredging and by shore collections. A limited number of species were collected and additional records from Inishbofin and the neighbouring mainland were included. Comparisons were made with east coast records. The purple sea urchin Strongylocentrotus lividus was abundant. The species list describes place and depth of collection. For identification purposes descriptive detail is included for some species.
