Abstract: This book results from a symposium on 'Space and Time Series Data Analysis in Coastal Benthic Ecology', held in Crete, 20-24 September 1988, reporting on progress in the investigation of spatial and temporal scales of natural variability in four benthic communities around the Atlantic coasts of Europe, and on research activities concerning the Posidonia community at Ischia, Bay of Naples. A paper on 'within site analyses' is included, as also is a report on computer-based analytical techniques used by different laboratories.
