Abstract: In September 1986 26 littoral sites in Northern Ireland were surveyed to record marine Mollusca. Site descriptions and grid references are given. 203 species were found (119 live), including most of the commoner littoral Mollusca. There was a considerable difference noted between the fauna west and east of Malin Head, with the west much more diverse and distinguished by the presence of 'southern' species. The reasons for this were considered to be mainly hydrological, but also associated with geology and degree of exposure.
