Abstract: This paper describes the littoral and sublittoral coastline of Northern Ireland with the principal source of information from the Littoral Survey of Northern Ireland carried out for the Dept. of the Environment by Heriot-Watt University. Littoral, coastal fringe and sublittoral habitats are described.
