Abstract: A short note on the discovery of several valves from the bivalve mollusc, Scrobicularia piperata, found still attached by the undecayed ligament in Dundrum Bay. This species had not previously been found in a living state in that area (although it was known from the Estuarine Clays of North of Ireland) and was thus thought to be extinct. Another species also recently found alive in Northern Ireland is also recorded.
