Abstract: Paper discusses the macrobenthos and associated sediment of Galway Bay, sampled in 1975-77. The results derive from broadly based taxonomic and granulometric analyses of dredge returns from 849 stations and 125 quantitative sediment sampling stations. The sampling area extended over approximately 2000 square km and included deeper water to the southwest of Inishmore.
