Abstract: Paper discusses age and growth in the squid Loligo forbesi sampled from the Irish and Celtic Seas between August 1991 and September 1993. Monthly specimens were taken from commercially caught squid, with additional specimens from research cruises. Length/frequency analyses were carried out as well as morphometrics and ageing using statoliths.
