Abstract: As part of a survey of the pollution status of the Liffey Estuary, Co. Dublin, sediment samples were taken along it from the harbour entrance to the weir at Islandbridge and analysed for the following: microfauna, sulphur, organic matter, total N, total P and the metals Pb, Cu, Ni, Zn, Fe, Mn and Hg.
