Abstract: This paper describes a new species of anemone, Halcampa andresii, found at Malahide, Co. Dublin in 1883. The British species of Halcampa are briefly reviewed. (The author later (this journal, *5*(1), 1886) withdrew the species, referring the specimen to H. chrysanthellum).
