Abstract: This paper deals with the Ostracoda found north of 35 degrees latitude, excluding the Mediterranean. Detailed species descriptions and distributional records are given for all sampled representatives of the Myodocopa, Cladocopa and Platycopa, and a taxonomic synopsis of these taxa, together with the Podocopa, is given. Two Irish species which are new to science are described: Conchoecia haddoni and Nemattohamma obliqua.
