Abstract: This paper considers the ecology of a new species of copepod Leptopsyllus celticus common to both Galway Bay, Ireland and Northern Brittany, France. Their main physical and chemical characteristics are described. In addition, qualitative and quantitative comparisons of both areas are described, principally through the use of correspondence analysis.
