Abstract: An apparent derivative of Spartina townsendii is described. It is phenotypically close to, but distinct from, S. maritima, with which it is compared. It was located in the Baldoyle and Broadmeadow estuaries, and North Bull Island, to the north of Dublin, and is of natural origin in Ireland. The name S. maritima forma dublinensis is suggested.
