Abstract: Paper briefly discusses five plankton surveys carried out by MAFF and two by the Dept. of Fisheries, Dublin in the western Irish Sea in 1982. These were 'primarily designed to assess the abundance of the planktonic Nephrops larvae, but were also used to collect physical data from the area'.
