Abstract: Proceedings begin with an overview of the scientific work carried out on the RV Lough Beltra. These studies include investigating the abundance of rays in the Irish Sea, sediment-profile imaging in Killary Harbour, marine geological studies, a seismic profile off the Irish west coast, chemical observations in the water column and sediments of Galway Bay and the Shannon Estuary, and a joint Irish German project investigating the Shannon and Elbe estuaries.
