Abstract: This paper is an attempt to gather together a comprehensive annotated check list of the harpacticoid copepods of Ireland. The animals are primarily aquatic and predominantly benthic, and may be found in marine, brackish, and freshwater habitats, and even semi-terrestrial environments, such as damp moss and leaf litter. This check list is based primarily on a reassessment of the published records augmented by some new data.
