Abstract: Paper presents results of a survey of halacarid mites (Acari) living among algae, barnacles, mussel clumps, lichens and other substrata on rocky shores around the coast of Ireland. Samples were taken from 31 sites with 29 species present in the collections. Of these, seven were new to Ireland.
