Abstract: The results of a dredging excursion to the north side of Belfast Lough are presented. Sixty species of algae were identified from the collected material. The most interesting record was a green alga, Halcystis ovalis. This species had only been recorded once before in the British Isles, when it was found in the Clyde district of Scotland. A species list is included.
