Abstract: An account is given of the medusae obtained from dredgings, tow netting and shore collections in Valencia Harbour. Although the species collected were not rare, there were a number collected from different life stages. A species list is presented with note of abundance, month of collection and state of growth. A number of species were new Irish records. See Browne 'On British hydroids and medusae' 1896 Proc. Zool. Soc. Lond. pp. 459-500 in which several Irish forms are described in detail and figured.
